Lac Vireo has been imagined as a lodge that stays open all twelve months and changes completely twice a year.
Nineteen cabins along a kilometre of shoreline, a main lodge with one long table, a wood-fired bathhouse on the water, and a small gaming room off the back hall. There is no lobby music and no television anywhere except the ski report by the boot room.

A single low room behind the boot room, lit by six brass lanterns and nothing else. Six tables, one bar, no machines and no screens. It opens at half past nine and it closes at two, and most guests never open the door.
